Corazón a Corazón
Corazón a Corazón
Inspired by Manuel Puig’s ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, and commemorating the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales, Corazón a Corazón, explores themes of sex, love, passion, betrayal, politics, oppression and power.
A visceral, and unique interpretation of this classic story, Corazón a Corazón brings to life the tale of two male prisoners whom, whilst seemingly opposite in every way, form an intimate relationship that changes them both forever.
Deaf Men Dancing’s unique performance style – a fusion of dance and BSL sign-language – is further enhanced by a contemporised version of the Argentine Tango.
A rich tapestry of ground and aerial performers, character portrayal, and an original soundtrack, Corazón a Corazón, is a brand new work commissioned by Without Walls.
Conceived, choreographed and directed by Mark Smith. Performed by Deaf Men Dancing, and Leo Hedman.
