Deaf Men Dancing’s artistic director & choreographer Mark Smith collaborated with Dr Ray Batchelor, Tango Teacher for Queer Tango London and D/deaf CAN Dance!, for DMD’s ‘Embrace’.

Two strangers meet for the first time. The only two things that two men are able to embrace each other are through Tango Dance and Sign-Language.

Embrace was originally commissioned by Liberty Festival. Deaf Men Dancing was the first dance company to perform outside Dubai Opera through the British Council UK/UAE 2017 Year of Creative Collaboration.
